The team 

The Humans of Hope team is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and Bangalore, India. Together with the team in Copenhagen and Bangalore people from all over the globe will give their photos and words to create visibility and understanding of all the people, who bring hope by who they are and what they do to the rest of us.

The team behind Humans of Hope is also known for their work to create equality among people through the social site CommonCollection.com  for global peer-to-peer giving.

Annette Grothe-Møller, MSc Psychology

Founder

Annette lives in Copenhagen with her husband; together they have four children. She has been working with counseling for adult individuals and couples, and management for more than 30 years and she is the author of  ”Love is Possible – from separation to connectedness”.

Annette is passionate about improving human well-being in general, reducing inequality and addressing the global climate crisis. She is the founder and co-founder of visionary companies focused on sustainability and social impact.

“I love to meet people from all over the world. Through this I get the great pleasure of sensing that we are all the same despite all outer appearances and circumstances. Deep within we share the same heart and the same longing and potential for peace, love and happiness.

When we hear about a person, who lives and acts from the heart and do great things, we instantly become inspired and closer to our own hearts. It is giving and hope bringing in relation to our own lives and actions. - We all want love and happiness.”  

Anna Helene kvist Møller, PhD (Sociology)

Community Advisor

Anna Helene lives in Copenhagen with her husband and their three children age 3, 9 and 11 years. She is visual designer and concept developer at Humans of Hope. 

Anna Helene is working to enhance the Humans of Hope Community. She has since early youth been interested in building and adding positive value to social communities.

For 2 years she was head of concept development at the social site CommonCollection.com.

“I have spent 9 years as a freelance photographer - always trying to convey people and projects in an honest and soulful way. Most often I have found hope in the people I’ve met along the way. And very often in the ones who had the least to offer in material things - but the most in purity and generosity.

Today I'm daily reminded of this purity and generosity through my 3 year old daughter.

I feel fortunate to experience the world through her curious mind and respectful way of approaching everything around her.

What would the world be like if we could all preserve this open hearted and curious approach to our surroundings - how would we meet and greet each other?

"I am Karla. I am from Hamburg, Germany, and live in Copenhagen. I have always been a strong believer in people having a good heart.

I think we are all searching for love and connection in one way or another, and what makes me believe in that is the kindness and social instincts that exist in all of us and that I can see every day in ordinary moments.

It can be small things, like two friends hugging or people laughing together - or someone stopping to pet another person's dog.

I always notice it the most in little everyday "crisis situations" - for example, when a train gets cancelled and suddenly strangers come together and look after each other - sharing updates and trying to find solutions as a team.

In those moments, it becomes too clear to me that people want to stick together - that's who we are at our core and nothing excites me more than that. That's what gives me hope and what I want to contribute to."

Shivangi lives in Mumbai with her husband, Varun; they are childhood sweethearts who have shared a 15-year journey of growth and discovery. Originally an engineer and entrepreneur, Shivangi transitioned into the world of creative storytelling four years ago. As a lifestyle content creator, she uses her platform to share the authentic layers of her life from beauty and fashion to the deeper nuances of travel and human connection.

Driven by a restless curiosity, Shivangi and Varun have spent the last three years living across India from the coastal rhythm of Goa and the heritage of Mysore to the vibrant energy of Mumbai. This nomadic lifestyle is born from a desire to truly experience the unique soul and culture of every place they inhabit. 

A self-proclaimed history nerd and an avid reader, Shivangi finds peace in creative expression and mind-intriguing conversations. She is deeply passionate about meeting people who lead with love and believes that the world’s inherent goodness is often just waiting to be unmasked.
